December 9th, 2007 by urhk

Link cloaking primarily serves a couple of purpose:

- To simplify the linking process for both visitors and webmasters.

If you are into affiliate marketing, you will come across some long, ugly link that merchants give out.

Something like:

http://www.sitebuildit-review.com/cgi-bin?aff=id=458fo/

Familiar? The reason why these links existed in the first place, was because merchants needed a way to provide its affiliate members to refer sales to the merchant sites so that affiliate members may get credit for their effort, and credit the sales accordingly.

However, as the time evolves, affiliate members find out it’s not convenient and sometimes look too obvious for the customers that they are making a cut in between, hence smart marketers have devised some way to Therefore some coder has devised a method to make links looks nicer and easier to remember:

For example, if you click on the link:

That’s link cloaking.

Here is a software that I give it out to you as a free gift that you can easily use and cloak your link for your website. It’s easy and free to use.  :)

Beware though, some affiliate program or even Google may frown upon on link cloaking, it can be used to distort or cheat web visitors. Therefore use it sparingly and with compliance with affiliate rules.

Hope you like it.

 Cheers
